Bully Prevention

Bully Prevention Bullying in schools is a worldwide problem that can have negative effects on the general school climate and on the right of students to learn in a safe environment without fear. Bullying can also have negative lifelong consequences both for students who bully and for their victims. Cooper Elementary takes the issue of bullying very seriously and has implemented the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program along with a Second Step curriculum at our school. One of our goals is to replace negative behaviors with skills that involve treating others kindly. We have the following school-wide rules against bullying:

·      We will not bully others.

·      We will strive to help students who are bullied.

·      We will include students who are left out.

·      We will tell an adult at school and an adult at home when we know someone is being bullied.
